Baseball Recap: Parowan Wins Going Away Against Water Canyon

Parowan won the last time they faced Water Canyon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rams blew past the Wildcats 12-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Josh Waller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. He is becoming a predictor of Parowan's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-10 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Ayden Osborne and Kash Sissener did most of the damage at the plate: Osborne scored two runs and stole four bases while going 4-for-4, while Sissener went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Sissener has become a key player for Parowan: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 3-10 otherwise. Braxton Blauer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.

Parowan's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Water Canyon, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
