Softball Recap: North Star Comes Up Short

North Star was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Windber Ramblers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 15-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

North Star saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayley Brant, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

North Star's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Windber, they moved to 7-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

North Star wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-3 defeat against Shade on the 24th. As for Windber, they have also already played their next match, a 6-2 victory against Rockwood on the 24th.
