Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Central Takes a Loss

Plainfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Plainfield South Cougars. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Cougars when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Plainfield Central was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Plainfield South work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18.

Plainfield Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Plainfield South, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Plainfield Central will take on Oak Park-River Forest in a tournament on Friday. As for Plainfield South, they will host Oswego at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
