Volleyball Game Preview: McDowell Titans vs. St. Stephens Indians

The McDowell Titans will head out to square off against the St. Stephens Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, McDowell came up short against Alexander Central and fell 3-1. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 23-25, 25-11.

Meanwhile, St. Stephens came into Tuesday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Freedom on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Indians not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 18th (when they won 3-0).

St. Stephens walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-8.

St. Stephens' win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for McDowell, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

McDowell took their victory against St. Stephens when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
