Basketball Game Preview: Loyola Academy Ramblers vs. Niles West Wolves

The Loyola Academy Ramblers will square off against the Niles West Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Loyola Academy's favor as the team sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Niles West has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Loyola Academy is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Aurora Central Catholic: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Ramblers blew the Chargers out of the water with a 73-10 final score. The Ramblers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Niles West came up short against Glenbrook South on Tuesday and fell 46-38.

Loyola Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Niles West, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
