Softball Recap: Mount Juliet Takes a Loss

Mount Juliet lost against Green Hill back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mount Juliet Golden Bears fell just short of the Green Hill Hawks by a score of 14-13. The Golden Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mount Juliet got a massive performance out of Anabella Brewer, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave Brewer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Annalise Mecklenberg, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.

Mount Juliet's loss dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Green Hill, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0-1.

Looking ahead, Mount Juliet will face off against Gallatin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gallatin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season. Green Hill has already played their next game (against Independence), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
