Princeton fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Western Harnett on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-6. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Princeton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macon Boone, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Andrew Allnutt was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Western Harnett, they moved to 6-16 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Princeton will face off against Beddingfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Harnett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
