Baseball Recap: DePaul College Prep Takes a Loss

DePaul College Prep lost against St. Laurence on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams came up short against the Vikings, falling 11-4. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dylan Hecht was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Jack Gibson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

DePaul College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 21-10. As for St. Laurence, the win was the 22nd in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. DePaul College Prep will face off against rival Loyola Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Laurence is set to challenge their familiar foe Brother Rice at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 3.4, the Crusaders 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
