Baseball Recap: Holland Drops Highest Score of Season Against Chilton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holland). They were the clear victor by a 17-1 margin over the Chilton Pirates on Tuesday. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Caleb Hill made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hill was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Holland got a massive performance out of Cooper Camp, who fired off three triples, two runs, and one RBI while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Tyler Johnson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Holland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Holland picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-12. As for Chilton, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Holland will venture away from home to square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chilton, they will host Rosebud-Lott at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th.
