Volleyball Recap: St. John Bosco Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for St. John Bosco Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Holy Spirit Prep Cougars on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

St. John Bosco Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Holy Spirit Prep between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-19.

McKenna Ryan paced St. John Bosco Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Ryan got some help from Caroline Schupp and her 19 assists. Abbie Shang controlled things from the service line, finishing with ten aces.

St. John Bosco Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Holy Spirit Prep, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Coming up, St. John Bosco Academy will face off against Lanier Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. John Bosco Academy are facing the Lightning at the right time seeing as the Lightning are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Holy Spirit Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Harvester Christian Academy on the 16th.
