After flying high against White Station back in August, Christian Brothers came back down to earth. The Christian Brothers Purple Wave took a 23-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brentwood Academy Eagles on Friday. The Purple Wave haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Christian Brothers still got an impressive performance from Javon Slaton, who picked up 79 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a rushing score. That's the most total yards Slaton has posted since back in September of 2023.
Christian Brothers' defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Brentwood Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
