Plainfield North and Minooka are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Tigers will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Plainfield North is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Plainfield North fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Oswego East on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 10-9.

Meanwhile, Minooka unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Whitney Young by a score of 2-1.

Minooka got a good showing from Dani Chorak, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Those four hits allowed gave Chorak a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Gracie Anderson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double. Cadence Murphy also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Plainfield North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Minooka, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Plainfield North couldn't quite get it done against Minooka when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
