Preview: Alhambra vs. Acalanes

Alhambra is 1-9 against Acalanes in play since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Alhambra will be playing in front of their home fans against Acalanes at 7:00 p.m. Alhambra is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Alhambra didn't get the result they wanted in their first matchup with Benicia on Thursday. They will be looking for a result a little better than the 3-1 loss they were dealt on Thursday when they meet later in the season. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for them in their matchups with Benicia: they've now lost seven in a row.

Acalanes, on the other hand, haven't lost since January 9th and they too continued that trend. Acalanes and Alameda played to a 1-1 draw, good for one point each.

Acalanes' goal came courtesy of Jonny Roth, who's now up to three this season.

Alhambra's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-2. Acalanes' draw gives them a new season record of 6-3-3.

Alhambra came up short against Acalanes in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, falling 2-0. Can Alhambra avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
