If Cape Coral was feeling good fresh off their 45-23 takedown of Cypress Lake last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cape Coral Seahawks fell 42-31 to the South Fort Myers Wolfpack on Monday. The Seahawks' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

South Fort Myers found their leader in sophomore Mariah Thorne, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Meria Church, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Cape Coral's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6. As for South Fort Myers, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Cape Coral didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-27 victory against Mariner on the 14th. As for South Fort Myers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-17 defeat against Gateway on the 14th.
