Baseball Recap: Inspiration Academy Red Takes a Loss

If Inspiration Academy Red was feeling good fresh off their 14-6 takedown of Central Pointe Christian Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Inspiration Academy Red Lions took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bradenton Christian Panthers on Monday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Carter Okuhara was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.

Inspiration Academy Red's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bradenton Christian, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Inspiration Academy Red will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cardinal Mooney at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st. As for Bradenton Christian, they will challenge Sarasota Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradenton Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
