Baseball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

After flying high against Valley Vista last Friday, Highland came back down to earth. The Hawks fell just short of the Queen Creek Bulldogs by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 12-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

With the defeat, Highland broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-7. As for Queen Creek, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Coming up, Queen Creek will welcome Mountain Ridge at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Highland will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' match: after the Bulldogs faces off against the Mountain Lions, they'll take on Highland again at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
