Softball Recap: South Lamar Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for South Lamar's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gordo Green Wave on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Green Wave this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-0 defeat back in March.

South Lamar has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Gordo, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-12.

South Lamar has already played their next contest (against Berry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Gordo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Hale County on the 22nd.
