Volleyball Recap: University Prep Takes a Loss

University Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Hesperia Christian Patriots, falling 3-0. If the Jaguars were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Patriots when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While University Prep was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Hesperia Christian's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-21.

University Prep now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Hesperia Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. University Prep is set to square off against their familiar foe Academy for Academic Excellence at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hesperia Christian will challenge rival Excelsior Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
