Recap: Hurricane Tigers vs. Crimson Cliffs Mustangs
The Hurricane Tigers posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Crimson Cliffs out 55-52. The win was familiar territory for Hurricane who now have three in a row.
Hurricane got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abbigail Stout out in front who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Addison Crandall was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alyssa Whittaker, who scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Summer Adams, who scored 16 points.
Hurricane's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Crimson Cliffs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Hurricane will be playing in front of their home fans against Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Snow Canyon will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak. As for Crimson Cliffs, they will head out on the road to square off against Pine View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Pine View is ranked 101st, while Crimson Cliffs is ranked 82nd).
