Basketball Recap: St. Paul Cardinals vs. Sacred Heart Indians

The St. Paul Cardinals pushed their score all the way to 58 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough 89-58 loss at the hands of Sacred Heart. St. Paul has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sacred Heart's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Andrew Steffek led the charge by dropping a double-double on 38 points and 15 rebounds. Steffek is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 20 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Nic Angerstein, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.

St. Paul has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Sacred Heart, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-6.
