Basketball Recap: Faith Lutheran Falls Despite Big Games from Liz Herpin and Caroline Logan + How To Watch

Faith Lutheran extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping them down to 3-5. They took a hard 53-37 fall against the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Diamondbacks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Faith Lutheran's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Caroline Logan, who posted eight points, and Liz Herpin, who had nine points.

As for Desert Oasis, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 59.8 points this season.

Desert Oasis got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isabella Wright out in front who put up six points and 17 boards. With that strong performance, Wright is now averaging an impressive 9.2 rebounds per game. Mia Baskerville was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Faith Lutheran will square off against Spring Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies' defense has only allowed 23.6 points per game this season, so the Crusaders' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Desert Oasis, they will face off against Somerset Academy Losee at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
