Softball Recap: Concordia's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Concordia ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They beat the Minneapolis Lions by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 on Friday.

Kenlee Williams was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Concordia and bumps their season record up to 7-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Minneapolis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Concordia will challenge Marysville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Minneapolis, they will face off against Ellinwood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
