Basketball Game Preview: Marion P. Thomas vs. People's Prep

Marion P. Thomas will head out on the road to square off against People's Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. People's Prep took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Marion P. Thomas, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Marion P. Thomas beat Roselle 70-66.

Marion P. Thomas' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vincent Loomis, who almost dropped a triple-double on 25 points, 11 boards, and nine assists. The dominant performance gave Loomis a new career-high in points. Nairi Latham was another key player, putting up 18 points along with five assists and four steals.

Meanwhile, People's Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch back in January as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Marion P. Thomas, falling 65-44. People's Prep was down 51-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Marion P. Thomas' win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for People's Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Marion P. Thomas took their victory against People's Prep in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 65-44. Will Marion P. Thomas repeat their success, or does People's Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
