Basketball Recap: Phoenix Academy Firebirds vs. Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots
Phoenix Academy won the last time they faced Surry HomeSchool and Destiny Kinsey did her part to make sure it happened again. The Firebirds took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 68-27 win over the Runnin' Patriots with plenty of help from Kinsey, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.
Several Runnin' Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lindsay Easter, who posted nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
