Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clinton). They never let the West Bladen Knights get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Tuesday. Give Clinton's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting West Bladen from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Jenna Jackson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Clinton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five games. As for West Bladen, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 2-8-2.

Coming up, West Bladen will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Whiteville at 6:00 p.m. Clinton will be paying especially close attention to the Knights' contest: after the Knights faces off against the Wolfpack, they'll take on Clinton again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
