Volleyball Recap: Channel Islands Raiders vs. Carpinteria Warriors
Channel Islands managed to slip by Carpinteria the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders came up short against the Warriors on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 3-2.
Channel Islands was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-24, 25-22.
Brandon Romero paced Channel Islands' offense, picking up six kills. Romero got some help from Daniel Miranda and his 12 assists. Riley Luna controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
