Softball Recap: Seeger Takes a Loss

Seeger fell victim to Tri-County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Seeger's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Tri-County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seeger will welcome Crawfordsville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Athenians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.55 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tri-County, they will be playing at home against Clinton Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in the Cavaliers' favor as the team sits on 14 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Bulldogs have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
