Volleyball Game Preview: O'Gorman Knights vs. Harrisburg Tigers

The O'Gorman Knights will challenge the Harrisburg Tigers at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as O'Gorman comes in on five and Harrisburg on 23.

O'Gorman is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Brandon Valley 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted against the Lynx since August 29, 2023.

O'Gorman wouldn't go down easily and took Brandon Valley into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-21, 25-14, 22-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Harrisburg faced Watertown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Arrows 3-0.

O'Gorman better keep an eye on Lindsay Langner. She was instrumental in Harrisburg's win, getting 11 digs and two aces. Langner has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Harrisburg was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive contests.

O'Gorman's record is now 26-4. As for Harrisburg, their record now sits at 34-2.

O'Gorman came up short against Harrisburg in their previous matchup back in October, falling 3-1. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
