Baseball Recap: North Central Wolfpack vs. Deer Park Stags
North Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 9-6 to the Deer Park Stags. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Stags this season, with their most recent loss being a 20-5 defeat back in March.
Giancarlo Lentes stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Beckham Ferguson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
North Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Deer Park, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.
Coming up, North Central is taking a road trip to square off against Clarkston at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
