Recap: Dalton Bulldogs vs. Conotton Valley Rockets
The Dalton Bulldogs had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.5 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They claimed a resounding 54-12 win over Conotton Valley at home. Considering Dalton has won eight contests by more than 33 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
When it comes to explaining why Conotton Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Noah Smith. Despite the final result, he rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns.
Dalton's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.2 points per game. As for Conotton Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Dalton will play host again and welcome Lucas, where Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lucas is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. Conotton Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
