Baseball Game Preview: South Amboy Governors vs. North Plainfield Canucks

For the second straight game, South Amboy will face off against North Plainfield. The Governors will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Canucks at 4:00 p.m.

South Amboy fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against North Plainfield on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Canucks by a score of 6-5.

Jeremy Vazquez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Robert Senape was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

South Amboy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for North Plainfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
