There's no place like home for Hesston, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Friday. They were the clear victors by  an  11-1 margin over the Herington Railroaders on Tuesday. The Swathers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven  runs or more this season.
Hesston let  Wendy Roth and  Elyse Griffin run wild. Roth  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI, while  Griffin  went 3-for-4 with two  doubles, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  stolen bases  Roth has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Karman Carson, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Hesston  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in 17 consecutive  matches.
Hesston is  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Herington, their loss was  their eighth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 0-8.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hesston beat the Railroaders by a score of  19-4 later that day.
