Basketball Game Preview: Nooksack Valley Pioneers vs. Sehome Mariners

Nooksack Valley is 2-8 against Sehome since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Nooksack Valley Pioneers will head out to square off against the Sehome Mariners at 7:15 p.m. One thing working in Nooksack Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.

Nooksack Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 81-74 to Bellingham on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (55), the Pioneers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Sehome ended up a good deal behind Anacortes on Friday and lost 65-49. While losing is never fun, the Mariners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Seahawks are ranked 37th).

Sehome has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Nooksack Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Nooksack Valley lost to Sehome on the road by a decisive 55-41 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Nooksack Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
