Basketball Recap: Houston Math Science & Tech Takes a Loss

Houston Math Science & Tech lost against Lamar back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers had to suffer through a 55-16 loss at the hands of the Lamar Texans. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1233rd, while the Texans are ranked 371st).

Jeremy Dickson was Houston Math Science & Tech's leading scorer, having posted six points. Chadwick Stearns held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Jaden Gonzalez took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Houston Math Science & Tech and nudges their season record down to 10-15. As for Lamar, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers challenge the Bellaire Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Bellaire's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Lamar, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wisdom at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
