Basketball Game Preview: Jonesboro Cardinals vs. Central Lions

Two dominant guards in Tim Prather and Khaven Cochran are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Jonesboro Cardinals take on the Central Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... One thing working in Jonesboro's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.

Two weeks ago, Jonesboro beat Enterprise 55-45.

Meanwhile, Central didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Starr's Mill on Friday, but they still walked away with a 75-69 win. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Panthers are ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Jonesboro, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
