Harding Academy extended their postseason success on Friday against Jackson Christian. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-41 win over the Jackson Christian Eagles. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Harding Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bella Rose Austin out in front who posted ten points and eight rebounds. Erica McGary was another key player, putting up 11 points and six boards.

Harding Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 16 consecutive contests.

Harding Academy's record is now 20-5. As for Jackson Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 19-10.

Coming up, Harding Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against University School of Jackson at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in University School of Jackson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups. Jackson Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
