Softball Recap: Phoenix Pirates vs. Brookings-Harbor Bruins

After only two runs in their last game, Phoenix made sure to put some runs up on the board against Brookings-Harbor on Saturday. Phoenix was the clear victor by a 16-9 margin over Brookings-Harbor. The Pirates not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16, 2024.

Rylei Rivero was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Rivero was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Phoenix got a massive performance out of Carsyn Sousa, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5. Another player making a difference was Rylie Johnson, who scored a run and stole five bases while going 1-for-4.
