Baseball Game Preview: Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs vs. Summit Academy Bears

Judge Memorial Catholic is 2-8 against Summit Academy since March of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Bears at 3:30 p.m. Judge Memorial Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Judge Memorial Catholic came out on top against Summit Academy last Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Bulldogs walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Bears. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Jeter Soto spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dominic Fassio, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as he's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Miles Augustine was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Judge Memorial Catholic picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 8-11. As for Summit Academy, their record is now 4-12.
