Volleyball Recap: Thornton Wildcats vs. Crete-Monee Warriors
Thornton lost against Crete-Monee on October 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Thornton Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crete-Monee Warriors. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Thornton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22.
Thornton's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Crete-Monee, they now have a winning record of 18-17.
Thornton will square off against Oak Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Forest will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Thornton surely won't give up without a fight. Crete-Monee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
