Football Recap: Ness City Eagles vs. St. Francis Indians
Ness City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 47-0 loss at the hands of the St. Francis Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 54-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2016.
It was another big night for Lucas Raile, who rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries for St. Francis. The dominant performance gave Raile a new career-high in rushing yards. Layn Todd was in the mix as well, providing St. Francis with three touchdowns.
Ness City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for St. Francis, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4.
As of now, neither Ness City nor St. Francis have any future games scheduled.
