Baseball Recap: Heartland Christian Lions vs. Hubbard Eagles

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Heartland Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Hubbard Eagles. For Heartland Christian, this counts as revenge for the 8-4 loss Hubbard walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2015.

Jake Walker spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
