The win was all the more spectacular given the Roughriders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Red Devils are ranked 63rd).

Meanwhile, Kingston had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 65-52 victory over La Conner on Saturday.

Kingston's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-9. As for Port Angeles, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Everything came up roses for Port Angeles against Kingston in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 80-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Port Angeles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
