Allie Thomsen (2025-UW) put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over 9.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Reese Westman (2026) made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Clara Stone(2027), who went 3-for-5 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Glacier Peak had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They put the hurt on the Bruins with a sharp 11-0 victory. Considering the Grizzlies have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Hailey Lines looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Alexis Garcia and Lauren Hufford did most of the damage at the plate: Garcia scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Hufford scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave Hufford a new career-high. Aubree Orr also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Glacier Peak hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cascade struck out nine times.

Glacier Peak pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Jackson, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Jackson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Glacier Peak struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Jackson beat Glacier Peak 5-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
