Softball Recap: Sierra Pacific Drops Highest Score of Season Against Mission Oak

Sierra Pacific's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-8 win over the Mission Oak Hawks. The Golden Bears' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Anaya Zaragoza made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Sierra Pacific got a massive performance out of Brooklyn Webb, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Webb has posted since back in March of 2024. Miranda Reyes also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Sierra Pacific moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Mission Oak, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6-1 record this season.

Sierra Pacific wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-2 win against Fresno on the 21st. As for Mission Oak, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-5 defeat against Hanford West on the 24th.
