Volleyball Recap: Silver Lake Takes a Loss

After flying high against McCool Junction on Thursday, Silver Lake came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Ansley/Litchfield Spartans on Saturday. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Libby Soucek paced Silver Lake's offense, picking up four kills. Soucek really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six.

Silver Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ansley/Litchfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coincidentally, Silver Lake and Ansley/Litchfield will both be playing Dundy County-Stratton the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 1:15 p.m.
