Baseball Recap: Metea Valley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hoffman Estates on Saturday, Metea Valley came back down to earth. The Mustangs came up short against the Yorkville Foxes on Monday, falling 16-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 11-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Metea Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Yorkville, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Metea Valley will host Joliet Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Yorkville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Naperville North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
