Soccer Game Preview: Colleyville Heritage vs. Argyle

The Colleyville Heritage Panthers will challenge the Argyle Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average, (Colleyville Heritage: 0.2, Argyle: 0.5) so any goals scored will be well earned.

Argyle will be up against a hot Colleyville Heritage squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Colleyville Heritage's defense stepped up to hand Grapevine a 5-0 shutout on Friday. The Panthers' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

They hit Grapevine with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ashlyn Bringedahl (2), Alexa Munguia, Addison Shimmick, and Camille Seeley.

Meanwhile, Argyle won against Richland on Friday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. Argyle came out on top against Grapevine by a score of 2-0. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 400th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Argyle and bumps their season record up to 6-1-1. As for Colleyville Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
