Soccer Game Preview: Reedley vs. Kerman

The Reedley Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Kerman Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Reedley is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Last Tuesday, Reedley narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Washington Union 2-1. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kerman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Exeter on Tuesday. The score was close at the half, but the Lions pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Reedley is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those seven contests. As for Kerman, their record is now 8-10-3.

Reedley was able to grind out a solid victory over Kerman in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Reedley since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
