Football Recap: Haslett Vikings vs. Williamston Hornets
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Haslett can now relate to. They lost 42-21 to the Williamston Hornets on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-14 back in October.
Haslett lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kory Amachree, who rushed for 144 yards and one TD. Derris Dennis was another key player, gaining 45 total yards.
Kaleb Nielson had an outrageously good game for Williamston as he rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 94 yards and one TD. Joseph Smith was in the mix too, providing the Hornets with two scores.
