Basketball Game Preview: Prospect Knights vs. Schaumburg Saxons

The Prospect Knights will face off against the Schaumburg Saxons at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Prospect's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

Prospect is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 87-78 to Metea Valley on Friday.

Meanwhile, Schaumburg made easy work of Wheeling on Tuesday and carried off a 65-40 victory. The Saxons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Prospect's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Schaumburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season.

Prospect and Schaumburg were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but Prospect came up empty-handed after a 30-29 loss. Can Prospect avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
